During this experimental workshop, we will learn different wet-on-wet watercolour techniques (“lifting”, “washing”, “blooming”) to create a series of small abstract paintings, exploring the meaning and symbologies of colours. By using liquid watercolours, we will let the paint flow to obtain spontaneous and unexpected effects and textures.

These techniques can be used in landscape painting, botanical illustration, pattern design, expression of emotions or sensations, and much more.

After carrying out a series of practical exercises, each participant will create 4 small final paintings, using the colour palette and techniques chosen by themselves.
